I'm really looking into it, but really nervous that I won't be able to commit. I know it's to make my life easier and better, but nervous to commit!

the commitment isnt so hard this year now that it's all pretaped. last year's participants HAD to be ont he phone from 10:30 - 12 on mondays. that would be hard. this year, you can listen all week to the shiur at any time.

Best money I ever spent!! Really moved to me to a great place with my kids!

Mama Bear, that is not correct. I participated this year and we were able to listen to the class all week. The only time you HAD to commit to Monday morning was if you wanted to ask a question when Dina was on live. I assume it will be the same for next year. The speech part will be taped, but she will be taking questions for 30 minutes live afterwards each Monday.

faith, but thte lecture was live, you couldnt listen in advance to be able to ask the questions. I believe the lecture will be available earlier than the q.a. session, if I understand correctly.

Are any of you people who took this course at work full time? I really think I can benefit from this course, but I can't fathom how to fit it into my schedule at all.

what age kids are the lectures geared towards? my kids are ages 19 months to 10 years.

I think she focuses on the ages of 2-8, but she mentions older children as well. I'm not sure to what extent though.

I took dina's course last year, and bought the mp3's (I think it was about $25 for the mp3's and a copy of the notes)
the course was .... lifechanging
aside from being very practical in terms of parenting tips and advice (like bedtime routines, mealtime, toilet training etc etc) its about learnign to recognize and characterize patterns of misbehavior, identify where its coming from and why, and step by step how to address the root of the problem.
AND the big thing for me was the hashkafa. I really wasnt looking for hashkafa when I signed up, but that's what made the biggest impact on my life. she gives you real practical ways of connecting to Hashem, and working on yourself. AND even more wonderful for me (exposing myself here a bit too) was she teaches you how to recognize and fill in your own gaps from what you didn't receive as a child so that you can give fully to your own kids.
really worth every single penny.
I rarely had time to listen live, I used to listen in half hr increments usually at night or when nursing my baby. I find I dont' review the mp3s as often as I should and am seriously considerng signing up again next year.
