I am looking for (and have been for many years) a large (at least 3 qt. preferably more) soup tureen.

Ideally china or porcelain; ideally in an ivory color.

Something simply designed, nothing fancy.

I'm willing to pay several hundred dollars if necessary.

Should be something that can be purchased on line.

I've done numerous web searches and never came up with anything remotely suitable.

Thanks.

Are you ever in Brooklyn? Closeout Connections usually has beautiful ivory stoneware soup tureens (from the company American Atelier) for $30-$40.
Maybe you can find one from them somewhere online.

That's the problem with a lot of what I've found -- and it's a pain to have to email a question about each one (and they don't usually even know the answer).

No, I'm not, that's part of the problem. Thanks.

If you'd like, I can stop by, and then let you know if they have any now. I can wrap it properly and send it to you.

Thank you. Just took a look at it -- don't care for the lion's head on it, and it's a little on the small side.

That is such a nice offer. If it isn't convenient, and you see something there in ivory (I'm really trying to avoid white if at all possible -- I found a white one locally in Crate & Barrell for a reasonable price -- because my china is ivory) and a decent size, would you let me know?

I really appreciate your help.

Wanted to let you know I received the tureen today and it is even lovelier than I'd imagined.

Thank you again.
