Eliminate one feeding, wait a few days and eliminate another. You can be done that way in about 2weeks and you will remain comfortable and leak free (mostly!).

6 weeks is the optimum time for introducing the bottle.
Good luck!

put cold compresses on your breasts, and put in a cabbage leaf. make sure to take hot and cold showers to take away the pain of engorgement. nurse less and less.

May I ask why youre stopping to nurse, or is it private?

Your doctor can prescribe something to stop it as well.

Things changed I guess.

Ok, my doc told me after I gave birth in order to dry up the milk since I wasn't nursing, to wrap one of those cloth bandages (Ace) around my breasts(on top of a very supportive bra) really tight and keep it that way until the fullness subsides. Also use icepacks if they're painful.

like chavamom said 1 - start skipping feedings
2 - like mindy said cold cabbage leaves on breast when they get warm and wilted take off. (Wash the leaves, crush them slightly and place them over your breasts inside your bra. Change them when they wilt, but leave them on around-the-clock for 48 hours
3- drink tea, Drinking two to three cups of sage tea a day will also help dry up your milk.
4 - Use ice packs or frozen vegetables for compresses
5 - Do not restrict water intake. Some moms try to dry out milk by drinking less. Restricting your fluids will not reduce your engorgement and may lead to dehydration.

hatzlacha and feel good..
