Sephora, so I can try stuff on. then used on ebay, since it's cheap that way.

The make-up I have come from various places. Most of the products I buy are from Sephora because of the enormous selection and having employees who are both knowledgable and helpful. They even let you try the make-up before you buy or they will show you how to properly use and physically apply the make-up to your face. I have some make-up that I bought from Target and Rite Aid, a few products that I personally like.

Mostly Maybelline, Cover Girl and Revlon from Rite-Aid and preferably on a BOGO sale. Not much selection but then I don't wear much makeup anyway. I had a gorgeous eyeshadow from some discount store, some brand with a J, that I loved. Shoulda gone right back and bought another one because by the time I used up what I had, that color was history.

The only makeup I purchase from the drug store is mascara and sometimes lip gloss.

It depends on what it is. For lipstick, powder and mascara, I go for the drugstore brands (I think Maybelline has the best mascara ever). For foundation and eye liner, there is nothing better than MAC (MAC's gel/cream eyeliner is the best eyeliner I've ever tried, and I've tried a ton of them). And for my eye shadows, either MAC, or my neighbor who sells makeup.

Sephora for the fun stuff, like different eye shadows and stuff...but for mascara, lipgloss, and powder, I've recently started using drugstores.

I am a makeup-aholic. I love makeup. No, really.

I buy at Sephora. Dept stores. Target (their No 7 line powder is great). Drug stores. Every line, from Wet-n-Wild on up to YSL, or whatever is most expensive these days, has some great products.

FTR, ebay policy prohibits the sale of used cosmetics. The site claims that such sales are illegal. I have little doubt that people do so anyway. There are, or were, also sites on which people used to *swap* cosmetics that they didn't like.

I buy off brands online because as a makeup artist I love ready made palettes and some off label makeup is as good as mac for a fraction of the price. foundation however I cannot go cheap with. bad foundation can ruin any look. I use cinema secrets.graftobian, and kryolan.

I usually buy eyeshadow, lipgloss at CVS, Walgreens, Duane Reade, Target, etc. - really whoever has the products I like on sale.

When I treat myself, I buy lipgloss, blush & concealer from MAC
