I'm sure you guys have done this before, but I figured we could start another one.

This is a round robin story game based on "Exquisite Corpse", a game in which a story gets written but each person adds a word or sentence - you get quite the funny story at the end.

Here's Wikipedia's entry on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exquisite_corpse

Here's an example that was done with sentences recently: http://boingboing.net/2010/07/12/boing-boing-picnic-e.html

The rules are you need to copy the text previously into your entry and then add your sentence so that we can see the whole thing together. It doesn't need to make "sense" so much as it should be a random sentence that *hopefully* works with the previous one. (See the above example). It also makes it more fun if you make your sentence a different color than the one previously. Once you write a sentence, please let at least 4 people go before you take another turn.

I'll start! Let's see where the story takes us...

"I realized that yesterday was Tu b'Av and that Rosh Hashana was only 45 days away!

"I realized that yesterday was Tu b'Av and that Rosh Hashana was only 45 days away!

So I says to myself, I says, "Self, it's time to make the doughnuts."

After all, it is a big job, being in charge of the Rosh Hashanah doughnuts for one's community.

(ETA--oops, didn't realize it wasn't supposed to have to do with the other sentences.)

My community is a big, hungry community, with a love for anything sweet, which they gobble right up.

Not sure if I'm doing this right! It's supposed to do with the sentance above you, right, but doesn't have to do with the sentance before that? Is that how this goes?

It can be part of the sentence above it, or it can make no sense whatsoever.

Got it Wink and we're supposed to quote the whole thing each time or just the sentence above us? I also can't do the color change, it doesn't work for me! And I know you said we should do that....lol it's just so hard
