Don't waste your $ on them they are dangerous, they make marks on the skin, anyone who lets their child get them is making a big mistake, it stops circulation of the blood. I don't know why there hasn't been any law suit yet.

My daughter got a bunch from someone and then lost them. I explained to her what it does to the skin and she doesn't want to wear them.

Don't let your kids wear them they are not safe.

They have been loose on everyone I have seen wearing them.
This may be true of someoen with a particularly large wrist or maybe an adult. But on most kids the silly bands are not tight at all. I certainly would not call them dangerous.

On a lark, I put on a few. They're an off-brand, and pretty small. Even on overweight me, they're not marking my wrist.

Last wk my daughter (6 yo) asked for some because "everybody" at camp had them.
So I told her I will buy her some for 3 days of good behavior in a row. She got her first package this way.
Now I told her that I will buy her one package every week (until she decides she's had enough) if she behaves well (without one single incident) 4 days out of 7 every week. She gets a sticker too for one whole day of exemplary behavior, that's how we keep track.

such a smart way of doing it I wish I can cary it out. I just dont have enough strength to do it. but if it works that good for you,

Well, I don't know maybe there are different brands but the ones that my daughter and her friends were wearing were very tight. My daughter's wrist is very skinny by the way, nothing to do with weight. It's kind of like when you leave a pony holder on your hand it makes a mark.

Maybe different companies make them different, I have no idea. but the ones I saw on the hands left marks.

besides whicih this is just another fad which will just dissapear soon, why waste money on a fad?

I actually read about them on the news ages ago how they are the latest fad and I was kinds waitng till my DD asked for it!!!

I also used the silly bands as reward for good behavior. I told my DD age 6 that every time she gets 10 stickers on her mitzvah chart I will buy her another pack. her behavior, especially in the derech eretch department has improved dramatically in the last week. seh just her her 1st pack today.

now I paid $2.99 for a pack of 6, I see from previous posters that I can get it for much cheaper? what the average price range?

Is it okay to post a link?

If not, I'll delete....

This is my family's company. These soaps are REALLY popular. My 12 y/o came up w. this great idea a few weeks ago.

We're waiting on our order from the Biblical Bandz company so that we can make Jewish themed soaps Smile

I think it's strange that boys are wearing them. They are bracelets, after all.

Today I realized that, despite reading and hearing about them from everywhere, I've only actually seen the ones that I've bought for my kids. I've never seen another child from another family wearing them. My kids swear up and down that everyone had tons of them....Hmmmm....

My kids and their friends seem to have plenty of room on their wrists even with a bunch on. On my not skinny adult wrists they are a bit tight, but do not cut off circulation.

Remember when jelly bracelets were in style in the 80's?

I just found out what Silly Bandz are a couple weeks ago. It's nice when a fad is CHEAP. I see lots of people my age wearing them, maybe I'll get some so I can be cool.
