I think I have bed bugs. I have bite marks that look like it. I want to catch it before it spreads what do I do?

First make sure these are actually bedbugs. Strip your sheets and turn over the mattress- bedbugs will be in small groups in the corners. They also have a characteristic smell.
If these are truly bedbugs, I'm so sorry. It is really hard to get rid of bedbugs. We had to throw out all bedroom and living room furniture, steam clean all bedding and clothes, and MOVE. Because bedbugs also live on wiring inside the walls - that's how they travel between apartments.There are specialty services that deal with bedbugs, but be prepared that they are quite expensive. If you're not s ure, get cultured by a dermatologist. He or she will give you cream to treat yourselves - treat the whole family - but you also have to clean out your house. If no one is pregnant, he might give an anti parasite pill.

You can note that the eggs can lay dormant for four years and then you might have the fun again.

If you think you do:
1) Get an exterminator asap to prevent them from spreading.
2) Get bedding encasements to trap bedbugs in.
3) Use hot laundry cycles to kill bed bugs on your clothes.
