| |
Hi,
When my MIL was here before the birth she made meatloaf without any type of sauce for my freezer. I want to serve it Friday night (just me and my husband) but he wants some kind of tomato-y sauce. I'm at a loss, any suggestions?

how about a tomato sauce?
I use equal parts water and tomato paste (but you can use more/less water depending on how thick you like it) add suger, salt pepper, garlic powder and oregano. bring to a boil and cook five-ten minutes.you can shmear it on the meatloaf and then bake for a little bit or not bake.
I also mix ketchup with soy sauce and shmear on the meatloaf and bake uncovered for ten minutes or so it turns into a delicious sweet-spicy glaze.
