AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!! Allow me to vent here ladies!!!!!!!

I was simply going from my room to the kitchen when, passing by the living room, I heard a water noise! Given we have huge fish tanks, I thought "omg Hashem no" and guess what... some part of the external filter went out of its tube and there was a GEYSER of water and already more than once centimeter of water everywhere in the living room except BH by the tv and the comps.

It is the third time it happens, once bh dh was home, second it was a much smaller thing and dh was home soon after, but this time... he took more than one hour and I had NO IDEA what to do!!

First I salvaged what I could (dh had left a family painting lying around, yay) then I put clothes, cloth, everything I found on the floor.... but by the time I had dh on the phone and was able to stop the geyser the water had gone through the wall and invaded our room!

Now bh dh is home and he is taking care of it while dd is playing in the water and telling her wet tights to "go away"...

Personally, I would have chucked the fish tanks after leak #1 but please ask your husband to show you how to fix this problem yourself since the fish don't seem to be going anywhere and this seems to be a recurring problem.

That's why we got rid of our tanks. Every time it exploded it was either on friday, shabbos, or yom tov. Not worth it.
