Does anyone know the real risks of using expired sunscreen?

Information I found in discussion of a parent of a child with albinism (albino) was that as long as it smells okay and is the right texture, it should still work.

call the company to ask about its effectiveness. usually that sort of thing should be replaced at the beginning of the summer. you're supposed to use a certain amount of it, and it really should not last from year to year.

maybe they'll send you some coupons.

Open bottles of sunscreen need to be thrown out and replaced every year.
So if yours is an open bottle, the expiration date is a side point, and the bottle needs to be chucked anyway.
