Hi everyone.

I am due in July and my daughter will be 2 and 4 months then.
I'm pretty sure I'll end up with he city mini double but wasn't sure what I should do about the newborn.
With dd I had a travel system which was great and she was in the carseat for a while with it and I loved the fact that I could take the whole carseat in and out and into the car and into the house without waking her.

Should I bother getting the car seat adapter for the double? I know some people didn't bother and just lay their infants flat in there, is this the norm?
Basically I want to know if it's worth the money and all to get it or if I should just put the new baby in one side as is.

I didn't bother buying it because we could not afford what we considered a "luxury item" when we had the shalom zachor and a bris (shabbos) to pay for. However, I do not use the car often with my kids. If you are going in and out of the car constantly and have the extra money to spend I would get it. If not, I would get a padding to put in the carriage because I did find it a bit flimsy for my newborn

I have it, used it twice and hate it. I think its prob the most poorly designed thing the Baby Jogger put out. It (the adapter) makes the stroller 10x heavier and also the way it attaches, it makes the stroller very difficult to close and put in the car--which kind of defeats the purpose of the car seat adapter in the 1st place.

In my opinion if your oldest one is over 2 then the likelihood is she can walk whenever you go in the car ie to the car and once you get where you are going. Then you only need a snap n go or equivalent for the baby. When you are using the city mini for walking and you need room for both I just put my newborn in and laid it as flat as it goes (not totally flat, but pretty far) and I put an extra headrest in for her.

With all that being said, if you still want the adapter and happen to live in Israel--I am still working on selling mine!
