My youngest lately keeps getting oranges and reds in school.

He claimed it was other kids and that he could not help himself.

Now the teacher called and told us, that it's him that talks and talks and blurts out answers. She thinks he just wants attention. Evidently he sits there just smiling, desperate for attention and I know that I give him TONS of attention at home! But he's still very chutzpadic sometimes and I have no clue where it's coming from. Yes he's my baby, but it's driving me nutz!

Plus she said his reading is behind where it should be Sad

Have you spoken to him about this?

A meeting with your son and perhaps the teacher might be called for.

You should deal with the behavior as well as the "source" of it. His attention seeking is an issue as is the way he draws it.

I think you should ask the teacher to be more specific about the reading problem and ask her/him for suggestions on how to remedy that.
