DS is 6 yrs old. Every so often he goes through a stage where he wakes up in middle of night and goes into my husbands bed. (he knows not to come into mine Wink !)

Recently it started up again and I don't know how to stop it. He wakes up, says he is scared. We always try to make sure he stays in his own bed - either one of us will lie down with him for a while, or turn a tape on. But then he wakes up in middle of the night (when we are already sleeping) and comes in. He says he is scared. of the dark - so I put on a night light. But the night light makes shadows, wich are also scary.

I told him if he stays in his bed the entire night, I will give him a fruit rollup in his lunch the next day - usualy that works. Guess what - last night he was so scared he agreed to give up on the special snack!

What should we do?
