Do you let your kids come in your room and see your beds apart when you are nidda? How do you explain this to curious kids?

growing up I never even thought about it, never even payed attention. with me, the beds are always apart therefore, were someone to come, or when the kids grow up and notice. all they'll see is that our beds are always separate. although, if I were to put them together, I wouldnt hesitate bc of people/kids noticing.

I never noticed with my parents that sometimes the beds were apart and sometimes together.

so, if a child asks why the beds are apart, make up a story, I do remember asking once and my mother said that something had fallen between the beds and she forgot to move them back together.

I did not even learn about such halachot until I was in 12th grade and really did not put 2 and 2 together until I was going for my kallah classes.

I would say, dont worry about it.

As a kid, I remember that sometimes my parents' beds were together and sometimes they were apart and I don't remember thinking anything much about it.

I noticed it as a kid, but I used to move the beds myself so I could swing between them. so I never wondered why they were apart. otoh, I've heard of kids who thought their parents had a fight every time the beds were apart. not so good. you could always make a point of rearranging furniture on a regular basis if you're worried. they'll think you're redecorating.
