I asked my DH to buy some fish fillets from the grocery store on his way home. They sell them in the freezer section.
I opened the package and it smelled very fishy..I naively thought I could disguise that by breading and frying, but that didnt work.
Cant take it back now, have half a pack left.
Any ideas of what to make that would mask the fishy taste??

Marinate it in a drop of lemon juice and lots of crushed garlic. Should take away the fish smell and freshen up the taste too. _________________ Really Awesome Mom!

If it's cod (or similar firm white flesh fish), then I'd definitely go for fish curry. Sautee a chopped onion or two, fry the fish, add curry paste/sauce and 1/2 can of coconut milk. The trick is in marinating the fish first. The spice will definitely mask the fishy flavour. Alternatively, you can grind them up (a la gefilte mix), add eggs, matzo meal, and herbs (dills, corriander, ginger--something that's assertive enough) and fry into fish patties.
...though by now it would be a tad too late???
