| I always loke serving fruit and cake for dessert. Anyone have any ideas for a quick fruit dessert that is not just cutting up melon or pineapple or serving grapes?

I love making fruit salads....ok I know what ur thinking u just probably made that ujjjj friut salad? face....but here my friend is an opportunity for creativity freshness and smth truly delicious...
imagine a refreshing fruit salad and even better all the juices dripping on ur cake...jajajaja
there are a few I like best...
1. Salpicon (spanish )
all cut up in small dice
watermelon
melon
papaya
mango
banana
(add or replace any of those)
and cover in orange juice, passionfruit juice or red soda (like strawberry soda - I know weird..but when the gas leaves it married with the fruity flavor and it heaven)
2. frozen salad
thinly sliced
peaches
plumbs
kiwis
strawberries
grapes
(add or replace any)
cover with passionfruit juice and freeze... then defrost when u start eating, so by the end it will be liquid but kind of slushy...)
3. berry merry
the little ones stay whole, the big ones cut up
strawberries
blueberries
raspberries
blackberries
splash them with lemon juice and white sugar, let sit for a long while or over night
FEEL FREE TO MIX AND MATCH, SWEET JUICY FRUIT AND COVER WITH FRUIT JUICE TO MAKE IT YUMMY... _________________ Soph

Pineapple and Strawberries (Quick and easy):
one package of frozen strawberries (defrosted)
one can unsweetened pineapple chunks with juice
one can unsweetened crushed pineapple with juice
one small can mandarin oranges, drained (optional)
Mix together. Enjoy
Fruit Salad (Takes a little more time, but well worth it - this is always a hit):
One honeydew, cut into chunks
One cantaloupe, cut into chunks
One can pineapple tidbits with juice
One small can mandarin oranges, drained
One apple, cut into small pieces (optional)
Grapes, cut in half lengthwise (red/black grapes add a nice color)
Mix together. Pour orange juice on top, until fruit are just barely covered. Add sugar to taste.
Chill before serving.

What about Ambrosia?
I make it one of two ways depending on my mood that week.
1. In a large bowl or container, put in 16 oz defrosted but not whipped up whip topping. Add crushed pineapple and mandarine oranges straight from the can (minus the juice). Defrost frozen strawberries and cut then up and add them in. You can also add other fruit (blueberries or peaches or bananas but I like to use just the first 3). Thats it.
2. Make jello - either strawberry or raspberry, dissolving the jello powder completely. Then add in defrosted frozen berried - either strawberries or raspberries, depening on what jello you used (use the same flavor as the jello). Mash the berries into the jello. Then take a container of the already whipped up whip topping (defrosted obviously) and mix it in....the strawberry will be sweet, and the raspberry will be tart-ish.
