Imamother Zechus

A little while back there was a thread about women perfectly made up on Shabbos and Yom Tov. I did not post on that thread, because I couldn't bring myself to admit that I was one of those people that couldn't help herself and reapplied makeup Shabbos morning.

Anyway, reading that thread and seeing what I was doing from the viewpoint of others, and not from the eyes of my yetzer hora, gave me a giant wake up call. I just want all the women who came out strongly against it to know, that thanks to them I have stopped doing it. b"H for the past few weeks/months, I have resisted the temptation and not applied makeup on Shabbos. I hope I will be strong enough to keep it up.

Thank you everyone who helped me stop doing an aveirah.

And please don't bash me here for admitting what I did. I only want support and encouragment, even if you may not understand me.

I will add to the imamother zechus. DH and I were lax in the harchakos-handing things to each other during nidda. Imamother posts made me realize how wrong we were, and I stopped. DH didnt like it, but I held my ground, and he had to go along.

I also fooled myself into thinking that putting makeup on wasnt really "writing" or whtvr.
I havent stopped completely but im getting there....I plan to start learning hilchos shabbes with my husband and hopefully I'll get there all the way.

Wow amothers thank you for posting your successes to us all.

See imamother has a purpose!!! Yes there are lots of things that we all do that perhaps we shouldn't but we need that little push as the final push.
