How many are interested in forming a seperate forum for chd?

I don't "need" chizuk in the regular way most of you do since I have chd myself - but if I can be any help - or get you shoulder if the answers I'm waiting for turn out not to be what I want - I'm in. (I'm the one with 2 kids...)

My son too has a congenital heart problem, but I'm not sure what a separate forum would be for. I'm not trying to mean here, but I wouldn't want to ask medical advice from anonymous mothers, as I have my doctors for that.

But if it's just for empathy/chizuk, I would contribute.

I would never think of giving any medical advice to anybody. but since congenital heart disease is something that is hidden in the closet, for many of us, I think it would be nice to speak to other people in the same shoes while noone has to know who you are. Furthermore, it would give you a chance to give chizuk to other people who are going through what you already have gone through, without anyone having to know who you are.

For the adult, I can use your support in a forum like this, since my child is aging out pediatrics, and is transitioning to the adult world. I would benefit from such a group myself.

I am very anti-medical-secrets, therefore I am not going under 'amother'. You can count me in; I have a child who had a CHD.

if its for support, why not start a forum for mothers of children with any chronic/serious condition. A forum with very few members will not see much activity.

how about a general forum for any congenital defect?
