| None. With challah and kugel, who needs more starch?

| I usually boil noodles and then give a choice between that or croutons that we always have in the house (or nothing at all). I used to make lukshen but I found that it was harder for my kids to eat (they are little) so I usually boil some alphabet little noodles or tubettini (?). They are little enough to fit on the spoon and into their little mouths.

| Sometimes I make lokshen or matza balls but if there's no guests, I put out the croutons. The kids & I love them.

Matzo balls and croutons for everyone else, just matzo balls for me. Of course, that usually *is* our Friday night dinner.
I make great matzo balls, if I must say so myself. Old family recipe. Of course, the family is Manishewitz.

| I voted for OTHER, the other being none. A couple nice chunks of carrot and parsnip or whatever other veggies are in there is perfectly sufficient for us.

| I put sweet potato in as one of the vegetables... I think that's a starch... then we also have croutons or (if I have time) matza balls

if it's erev yom kippur it's kreplach. if it's pesach, it's nothing.
we rarely eat soup for shabbos. too much food for us. _________________ Married 23 plus years but still in Shana Rishona.

Sometimes potatoes, sometimes noodles, sometimes croutons, sometimes soup nuts, sometimes matza balls, sometimes nothing aside for vegetables.
A family I boarded with used to put kasha in their chicken soup. _________________ Mommy to two wonderful boys:

Potatoes. Matza balls are nice, but who's got time? Barley/rice/quinoa are for cholent (which I don't make). _________________ Emmanuel Tzvi: 26 Shevat 5766

Usually none.
Sometimes, soup nuts.
Very rarely, matzo balls.
On Erev Yom Kippur and Hoshana Rabba, kreplach. _________________ "...swung out toward the other bank with a kind of wild exhilaration and landed gently on his feet, taller and stronger and wiser in that mysterious land."

I rarely make chicken soup but usually potato. My husband would put sippets on top if we have them. _________________ Immanuel Avraham -- 20th October, 2006
