so sad reading all those horrible comments at end of link
although it is good question- how did all those notes suddenly only appear after death
(unless a friend put them out for girl)

As the story said, she was hiding the notes toward the end of her life. She probably hid them fairly well.

"When 6-year-old Elena Desserich was diagnosed with brain cancer, she began hiding hundreds of little love notes around the house for her parents to find after she was gone."
