| |
My toddler desperately needs new shoes (he is currently size 21 or 5.5 so I think I need to get him size 6). I am looking for something like this:
http://www.6pm.com/melania-kids-ml-1435-infant-toddler-brown
except I would rather not spend $40 (total with shipping). Do you have any other suggestions of something similar in terms of style but cheaper? I tried to search for coupons or free shipping codes but didn't see anything.
TIA!!

| $40 is not bad to me, but I have gotten good deals from kidsurplus.com and when striderite.com has a sale. I also get 20% off coupons every so often from shoes.com and shoebuy.com, sign up for their lists and maybe they'll send you something.

eBay --
For example,
I've gotten from this seller other items, and I've gotten squeaky shoes that are made well and flexible (squeakers I believe are removable)
http://cgi.ebay.com/BROWN-Blue.....1c0d9230b8
There are many shoes that are new that you can look at... _________________ http://a-natural-birth.com

You can try payless shoes - they have a pretty similar shoe to this one, and they have free shipping to the store if there is one close to you.
Also, I have bought shoes by Target in the past for great prices and they have free shipping for over $50, so I would order multiple sizes and try on to see which is best and return the rest. They have a 90 day return policy so its no rush. good Luck!

Thanks so much everybody. I don't have ebay account and would like to get something asap. I checked target (I usually buy my kids' shoes there) but didnt see anything. I won't be able to get to a store until Sunday but I really need to get him something earlier. His shoes now are stapled together
any other suggestions are welcome!

| I dont know, SV, youre gonna buy your toddler new shoes online without getting his feet measured? not the worlds greatest idea imho. Payless Shoes would measure his feet for him, and are cheap (though not great quality). also, why not The Childrens Place? very well priced shoes, probably better quality than Payless, and also will measure your childs feet.

gold21. Thanks for the idea to check TCP - I found these
http://www.childrensplace.com/.....8576_61686|61649_shoes|baby%20boy%20shoes_shoes
and in terms of getting his feet measured. In an ideal world, I should probably do that. But he's been wearing size 5.5 since the summer so I am guessing he needs the next size up. I pashut don't have time to get to a store until Sunday and his shoes are ripped and also the soles are too thin for this weather. I can always return them if they don't fit or bother him.

the childrens place has a measuring thing that you can print out and use. I say go for it. we just bought 3 year old ds a pair from there...since it was the last one left in the store, it was $5.99. so far I am happy with them and cant believe I used to spend $70!!!
oh, and I ordered the domain shoes for my 1.5 year old since they were out of the brown in the store. cant wait till they come!

thanks for the trick, I printed out the chart and will measure his feet tonight and then hopefully order the right size. Worst come to worst I will end up waiting until SUnday and returning them to TCP near me.
Thanks everybody!!

| Why don't you search for those shoes on Amazon or Endless.com, you might find them for cheaper, or at least free shipping. Endless has great brand name shoes on clearance, you just have to luck out with the size - chekc it out!

So I measured my baby's foot last night using their chart and according to the chart he is size 8?! He currently wears size 21 which I thought was 5.5. Out of curiosity I measured my 3 yo's foot and it showed that he was size 10 but his shoes say 8. Do you think TCP just has different sizes? I think I will order size 6 anyway. WDYT?

I think they have their own measurement system. my 3 year old is wearing a 8.5 in his payless shabbos shoes, but a 10 in the childrens place shoes (which are a bit big, but they dont have 1/2 sizes and the 9 was too small)
my 18 month old, on the other hand was measured in a real shoe store as a 6 (european 22) and is also a 6 on the childrens place measuring tool.
so, I dont know exactly how its done, but I would say go with the 6 for your little one.

Oh uh . I ordered size 6, I hope they won't be 2 sizes too small. But you are saying that your 18 mo wears size 6? My son is 16 months, so maybe 6 will be ok. Is your baby's feet really small?

(My 2.75 year old is in size 6 for Shabbos shoes! His feet are TINY though; he started walking in a 3 His sneakers are a 7 and a drop large, but I wanted them to last longer, and he'll be wearing thicker socks this winter than he was when I tried them on him Sukkos time.)

My ds( 2yr 8 months) is also in 6.5 or 7.
He started walking in a european 19.
He has pair of Children's Place sandals that I got this summer, toward the end of the season(size 7); they were pretty big on him, but wearable (he outgrew the 23 he started with in the beginning of the summer). Last year he wore a 5 from there.
I bought a pair of sneakers from Children's Place in a size 8(for this fall/winter); it looks like it will be a long time before he's ready for them. _________________
