| Take pictures, go to the doctor to make sure there's no other damage. Go to the Board and the bully's parents. Hope he feels better soon.

As a former bullied child myself, I feel strongly that the adults in charge (parents, school, etc) are responsible for teaching the kids how to behave properly. It isn't (or shouldn't be) your son's responsibility to fend off his attackers on his own.
That being said, as a "karate mom" I will add that martial arts instruction helps kids develop self-esteem and a sense of physical confidence. They are not taught to beat up other kids, although they may learn self-defense skills. It might be worth looking into.

| Bubby thanks- I took picture right away. I suggested Karate not so he can beat up other kids but b.c. he would feel more confident and better about himself. Thanks.
