| |
In the past few months I started drawing portraits (of children mostly) from photographs. I was commissioned by a family member of DH to draw her grandchildren. I had been out of practice, but I am actually quite happy with the results.
The problem is that I don't know how much to charge for my work. The price for my art supplies are minimal. I just need to figure out how much my time is worth. Any suggestions on how to figure this out?
I probably am going to charge less for these since they are my first sale, AND it is a family member. But, I want to start a little home business and I need to figure out what the going rate is for this sort of thing. Also, for future drawings I will negotiate a price before I start...this was just a lets-see-if-I-can-do-it venture.
Thanks! _________________ -The Cupcake Queen

Thanks! | I saw your stuff and its great. You def have talent. I do agree with what you wrote. You will have to start off lower in order to start building clients and a reputation. See how that goes. Also you will have to advertise or do some sort of gallery showing, advertising. Factor all that in. But it is beautiful.
