theres a story going round that a baby was just born in israel and it said that moshiach is coming and then it died. Has anyone else heard this story?!

think from the biological make up of an infant; they cannot talk. If you really need the truth go to snopes.com. If this truly happened we would all know, but think logically.

you are rite tila, thats y I thought it was bizzarre!! but a few different pple have mentioned it to me, my dh heard it in shul even! I dont think I can believe it unless I hav a proper source thats y I was asking if any of u guys heard this story! Scratching Head

last I heard sucha story was when a fish spoke to the mexican worker in the fish store!

I'd like to see that to believe it!

I can't believe what is going around. first it was two big rabbi's that said that moshiach came to them in a dream and said that moshiach will be here on thursday and now this.

I don't get why we need all these stories. we all believe that moshiach is coming TODAY. why do we need all these weird tales to strengthen our belief? and why do we give moshiach "due dates", and push him off by even one day. why should he come on thursday if we need him here on wednesday?

This is not the first time I heard the story.

Maybe if we all really believed it instead of being cynical about it, Moshiach will really come today

about six years ago my sils high school told all the girls get ready a big rabbi said that moshiach will be here no doubt he gave them his word by the end of that year. now this thing came up and their teachers are saying by tommorrow what happens when tommorrow does come and it passes what type of respect do these girls get out of rabbis that every couple of years they say they know for a fact moshiach is coming this and this date.

I remember there a story many years ago that there was a boy that was in a coma or something on that sort he had a dream and was promised that before he turns thirteen moshiach will come. he turned thirteen a month or two later and well where is moshiach?!?!? I don't believe anything I hear anymore when moshiach comes then only then I will believe.

Doesn't it also say that before moshiach comes the arabs will rule for one day then how can moshiach come tomorrow unless they will rule tomorrow?? there is too much out there to believe everything that everyone says when moshiach comes so I will just wait until the ultimate redemption arrives and until then I will be improving myself day by day.

we should be believing that mashiach will be coming every day regardless of these stories. that's what we say in the ani maamim. if these stories get you to daven harder or do mitzvos, that's great but usually they are just that - stories.

I thought it meant that whole israel not their own little people?
