Do you litter? Do you care if other people litter? Do you raise your kids not to litter? Do you think it matters if you litter but no one sees you? Do you think it's a chilul Hashem if an obviously frum person is seen littering?

some responses to my own questions - I almost never litter. If I had some biodegradable item like pistachio shells, I would drop them since they're practically invisible even when on the ground.

I am annoyed when I see others littering. Yes, I think it's a chilul Hashem when an obviously frum person is seen littering.

I think it says a lot about our (collective) chinuch when after a children's (or adult's) event, the floor or ground is full of wrappers and garbage.

anybody enjoy removing gum from shoes? Rolling Eyes

I only throw apples and other biodegradable things on the ground since it helps the environment (I guess).

But ANYTHING else-no way.

I have been known to pick up other people's garbage on the ground. LOL.

I try to keep a plastic bag with me under the carriage so when the kids have garbage that's where they put it. I was brought up to never litter no matter who sees and thats how I hope to bring up my own kids.

bothers me to no end. Not sure why e/o can't just dispose of their own plates/wrappers/cans in a trash can..... Boggles the mind when seeing the mess after an event.

People who litter have no respect for themselves or anyone else either!

My husband trains his 7 year old students year after year to keep a spotless classroom. no exceptions, not a birthday party, not a siyum, nothing. none of his students would dare drop garbage on the floor, they know they will end up cleaning the entire classroom after school.
