Tamari, if you are interested in some PBS TV shows PM me. My mom is coming next week and she tapes bunches of them for my girls (she has a DVD recorder). When she brings the new ones I can get rid of the old ones. Things like curious george, etc.

Many clean movies do have a chaste kiss at the end of the happy ending (Disney princesses such as Belle, Cinderella, etc.)

I recall really liking "pete's dragon" but I don't recall if there was a church scene or other things I might not want to explain to a 4 year old.(Does anyone recall?)

Sound of music I love, but Nuns and Nazis are another discussion point I am not ready for with my inquisitive 4 year old. She asked once why a couple mean in Jerusalem wore long coats. (They were priests, clergy) I said simply, they are priests. Priests are what non jews have to lead their services. She then asked why the priests in Jerusalem were wearing "our kippas" and she's very astute...I could only reply "I think they like how they look"

Chitty Chitty bang bang I recall enjoying, but being scared about kidnapping children part

The Wizard of Oz. Under 4 years are afraid of the witch until you notice your kids enjoying playing "bad guys." in their imaginitive play. We talked about the witch being like the yetzer hara moreso than the witchcraft aspect. Again, DD wanted to get to the bottom of things. Why was she so mean? Was she mean and ugly because she's ugly on the inside, or because the outside was ugly she was mean on the inside...

Computer stuff - nickjr has good stuff, and the disney page does too. DD is 4. At 3 she started working with the games to play with the mouse. Now she's really good at the mouse. But it does take you sitting there patiently for a while.
