| My kids like Mega Blocks. This is what I always say when someone asks what they can give for a birthday gift.

we have three different types in our house. the mega blocks for younger kids that are easy to snap together. the more complex ones that are for 2 and up. and the tiny teene ones that were my husbands when he was younger. my son loves playing with them, they just get all over the place, so I take it out as a treat once in a while. _________________ Dovid Shlomo- 8/31/03

| We have megablocks, the huge ones which no one seems interested in anymore. Then we have a bunch of duplos & a huge box of my brothers regular lego's - hand me downs. Thos emake a big mess, like shayna said, so they're a treat here too, but I let my 2 yr old play with them & I watch him. he hasn't put one in his mouth in ages!

Mu kids like lego too! I bought the small sets from lego.com like a motorcycle, police car etc. When they play with it , I tell them to pour it onto a blanket or mat so it's easy to clean up. I also got some large flat pieces to build on.
However like all toys, kids get bored so either you to get a new little set to add to it or put it away for awhile.
If you're looking for a good toy, my son is begging me to get him clics, they have it in school and the kids seem not to get bored of that.

| My kids, ages nearly 3 and nearly 2 both adore Duplo (present from Bubby and Zaidy!) It is ridiculously expensive though... I just bought a whole set for them to give on YK and it was a fortune... better be worth it!

ShakleeMom - tell your ds in the name of the clan here at imamother that it's a really special creation of his - Lego yemos hamashiach!
my kids even play with Lego at age 12 - they build whole cities sometimes. BH now they're old enough to clean up after themselves, too. (I got them a huge imitation set 10 years back - and they're still going strong!) _________________ Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional. When my kids where youg they had tons of lego brought by the ex from the states. They loved and played with them all the time. We also had the girl legos.
I sweep them up with a broom or they play on a blanket. Now my gc enjoy them. _________________ There was a time when every brief saying one heard was regarded as a "Torah" (teaching, guidance), and everything one saw was perceived as an instruction in his avoda and conduct. - HaYom Yom
