I took puff pastry and cut into heart size shapes (with a cookie cutter) and then poured a mushroom sauce over them. Easy and cheap.

That's a very cute idea.... a spinnoff from mushroom vol-au-vents.

How many hearts do you serve each person.

Might make this for yom tov appetiser

You can take either eggroll wrappers or small round tortillas. You can either bake them or deepfry them. PM me for details.

You can also do salmon skewers, which is a cube of salmon, a small button mushroom, a slice of zucchini and cherry tomato or red pepper and repeat the order so that you have two of each on the skewer. Then you can either pour Mikee Sesame Teriyaki sauce over the cubes, or make your own Teriyaki marinade with teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, ketchup and sesame seeds. I serve it on a bed of angel hair pasta that I prepare by cooking the pasta, pouring 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/3 cup oil over it and mixing well. Then I slice in some scallions and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Looks professional and easy to make. Oh, and when I make it, it gets finished to the last drop.

I'm thinking of making these for RH - how do I prepare the salmon - sounds like I'd be grilling it, what's better stove top or over?
I'm debating between preparing and marinating the skewers in advance and grilling them on chag, or doing everything on friday. What would you suggest?
