| I want to make salmon for dinner. I am sick of the same recipe I always make. I want something saucy but my husband hates soy sauce. Any ideas? tia!

I made a kind of salmon-tomato stew last night with stuff I had in the house. I don't know if you are interested but this is what I did and my DH and I really enjoyed it.
I cut up half a yellow onion and sauteed it with a minced clove of garlic and a pinch of saffron in a pot until the onion was translucent. Then I added a can of diced tomatoes, capers, and kalamata olives. Then I put the salmon in (I cut a fillet in half but you can cut it into whatever portions you want). I covered the pot and let it cook for about 20 minutes or half an hour until the salmon was cooked (it will depend on the thickness of the salmon). I served it over cous cous. It was yum!

I hope you enjoy it! Add some red pepper flakes if you like it a little spicy

I make an easy one sometimes. I coat it with mixed ketchup and mayo and brush bread crumbs on it and bake for 30 min on 350. EAsy and good. _________________ Sunday social program forming in Brooklyn for children with social delays. Pm me for more info

| broil the salmon with a little lemon juice and a few onion slices, make a butter/lemon dill sauce in a skillet on the side. Serve over the salmon

2 favorites in my house:
#1) brush the salmon with soy sauce and sprinkle liberally with garlic powder. Broil for around 10 - 12 minutes
#2) Sweet and sour Salmon
slice 3 onions thinly into the pot, pour 1 1/2 cups sugar over it, cook covered over medium flame for 15 minutes (the sugar turns into a liquid and the onions will be tender). Add 2 cups water, 1/2 cup vinegar and 2 tsp. salt, bring to a boil, add the fish (it should be covered by the liquid) and cook on medium flame for around 25 minutes.
This recipe can last in the fridge in the sauce for a few days - its like a marinade, therefore, I make it for Yom Tov a lot _________________ proud_mama
