I'm looking into strollers for my first. My main criteria are: lightweight (I'm not the strongest ), easy to push (again. . . ), and easy to fold. I'll be using it mainly for walking, but will definitely be in and out of the car sometimes, so folding is important, and preferably shouldn't be taking up most of the trunk. We'll definitely be trying out strollers in the store- but I was hoping for some opinions based on personal experience.
I'm not thinking too much about price at this point- if we feel that a certain stroller best meets our needs, we'll find a way to afford it.
Thanks!

| I think that Inglesina Zippy fits your criteria. It's one of the easiest strollers to fold, is pretty lightweight for a full feature stroller, (maybe 17 lbs.), folds compactly, and is very easy to push.

| City mini jogger. It's incredibly easy to fold and push. Not the most compact, but not bad.

Look into the Zooper Bolero -- one hand fold, reclines fully and enclosed for safety, comes with accessories (rain cover, sun shade, foot muff), amazing canopy, 20 lbs or less, pushes nicely for a middle of the road stroller. My 4 foot 9 sister handles it fine

For $90 more, you can get it with a bassinet: http://dmart.stores.yahoo.net/zoboev20stin.html

I have a maclaren techno
I would not call myself strong and I can fold it and get it into the trunk of the car while holding the baby
its my only stroller and I love it
has lots of great features an umbrella fold
its reasonably priced and its great quality (its pretty too)

The problem I have with the City Minis is one year later, I see a whole lot of them fraying already. My Zooper Waltz is heavily used and 4 years old already and still looks brand new... _________________ http://a-natural-birth.com

| Another vote for Maclaren. Volo (the one with mesh seat) is the lightest but very little storage space. I also used Techno--very lightweight, easy to fold, net basket on the bottom. Rain cover and sun roof. No recline though so not for a very young baby.

| thank you all! the city mini seems to be really popular, and if it's what everyone says it is, it's a great deal for the price. does anyone know if they'll be coming out w a new model later this year? I'll check out the others in the store. . .

| I really don't hold much of the BJCM -- you CAN find good strollers in that price range, and the fabric is cheap fabric. For double strollers, where there is a limited market, I understand it, but for singles, there are plenty out there.

I have a 2004 model and I think it fits the ideal description well. _________________

I found the Zippy rather heavy. I have a Graco travel system and when I was looking at the Zippy it wasn't any lighter and the one-hand fold was harder to use.
I also have a Maclaren Techno. It DOES have a recline (not flat, and not even as flat as most of the not-quite-flat ones), but it can be used from 6 months, I think is what they suggest. Easy to fold once you get the hang of it, and it certainly doesn't take up much trunk space! Although space is relative; my Graco wouldn't take up my whole trunk either if I could lay it flat but my trunk is about 5cm too narrow for that (I drive a hatchback). _________________ Emmanuel Tzvi: 26 Shevat 5766

Go for the Bugaboo bee!
It pushes beautifully, is small, folds easily, the seat can face forward or backward, and it can recline fully. There is also an insert you can buy for a newborn.
Also, it's so cute!

A Techno XT can be used from birth, a Quest or Triumph from 3 (but the recline is very poor on a Triumph and wouldn't like to use it full time with such a small baby). A Volo has no recline and is for 6mos+ (when they can sit up on their own).
Maclarens are lightweight, easy to fold and OK to push - but tippy and the basket is small.
