I guess 66 is pretty old to be a mother, but it is young to die. My mother is that age and I hope she lives many many more years.

At a certain age the body stops producing stuff to help people conceive, must be a reason why.

She didn't die of old age, she died of cancer. OTOH, they are saying that all those fertility hormones pumped into her body may have heightened her chances of cancer significantly. Still, the same could have tragically happened to a woman in her 20s.

At least she died after giving two children a chance at life...She didn't know when she conceived them what illness she would suffer with two years later.
