the thread on imamother meetup in Israel has made me think about Israel and Aliyah (there is no connection, just how my mind wandered  )
I was wondering, how long ago did you make aliyah?
I love hearing stories of ppl who have been in this wonderful country for MAAANY years
myself, I made aliyah a little over three years ago! and its been a great ride ever since

| I made aliya in 1991, and lived there til 2002. am now living elsewhere, but we will return to israel in about 2 years, iyh!

1980 - been here more than half my life. Still have not acquired an Israeli accent

| We've been in Israel for almost 5 years and made Aliyah 2 summers ago.

I got to make Aliyah twice!! I officially made Aliyah in 2002. In 2004 I got married and when to the states for Shana Rishona (backwards I know) and made aliyah again (when I guess only Husband and daughter really made aliyah) in 2005.
