I need an idea for a nice anniversary gift for my husband, second anniversary.. I've done searches and have found some ideas but nothing that works, I really want it to be a good one, not too expensive and something more personal than a tie or shirt.. any ideas??

Why don't you do a symbolic gift? Check out what a second anniversary symbolizes, and buy a gift that works with that. I do it every year.

What's your budget?

Can you afford silver ? Do you have a napkin holder or salt dipper? For a few anniversaries we bought things we didn't have.

Clock in the dining room? Grill for the warmer weather ? Nice mikvah bag ?

Magazine subscription ?

Why do you have to buy him a "thing" that he may not even appreciate? Why not either take him out to his favorite place for dinner or make a super-nice dinner at home with his favorite dishes that you never make b/c they're too expensive or too much work? (or order in from his favorite fancy place if you're a terrible cook but you don't want to have to go out.) Throw in some flowers--or let those be his gift to you--light some candles--turn on his fave music, and enjoy.

I was thinking of a painting for the dining room which we can choose together. He's already "nudging" me to go pick a bracelet for b-day anniversary combo!

Along the lines of a dinner out - how about tickets to something he enjoys - a ball game or a concert, perhaps.

I always get great gift ideas from Brookstone!

This is what I'm getting dh for our upcoming anniversary:

And I'm thinking of getting a nice remote control helicopter or airplane (from our boys!) for father's day!

A wallet? A watch? My sil got her husband and herself matching bathrobes with the initials embroided. I thought that was a very sweet idea.

I LOVE Brookstone. I always find such good gifts for people (that I would have NEVER thought of otherwise!)
It's usually very practical too.
