Fox is quite right, as always Smile , although in our case, BM worked so well whereas meds were a disaster.

OP, I re-read this thread & I see I never replied to your question (I don't think I saw it!) It's too detailed to post here, PM me & maybe we can talk on the phone. Or in a PM if you prefer.

try giving him b-comblex, b-12 and purified fish oil. it's not a cure but it does help calm one's nerves. it might make it a bit easier for him to control him

OP here- thank you for the suggestions. I tried fish oil for a while and saw some possible improvement - it was hard to tell. B vitamins are a good idea as well.

We are still investigating/struggling. Good days and bad days, lots of going back and forth.

it can take a while for the improvement to fully manifest as it builds in his system but if its not doing enough then give him more. its impossible to overdose on fish oil. it can only help.

Well, we're just forming a pre-Shabbos mutual admiration society today!

I was just about to post again saying that, despite all evidence to the contrary, I'm not really in favor of dumping SSRI drugs in the water supply. You have to see what works, and sometimes it's a combination of things. Also feel free to PM me -- I'm not sure my experiences are significantly relevant, but I'm happy to share.
