This year, dd's yeshiva raised tuition by about 20% and reduced the financial aid offer to us. They advised that if we are not happy with the financial aid offer, we must apply for financial aid with a third party provider called FACTS through a website with the URL factstuitionaid.com. According to them, the FACTS decision is final and may not be appealed, and they indicated that FACTS may actually reduce tuition aid if they feel it is appropriate. Does anyone have any experience with this company. I really need more aid in order to fit dd's tuition into the budget, but I don't want to "cut off my nose to spite my face" by applying to them if it is a foregone conclusion that they will either deny or reduce aid to us.

We use FACTS to both pay for tuition and for the scholarship. I didn't see any difference in tuition in the year before the school started using FACTS to figure the scholarship or after.

the only thing I don't like is that we have to pay a monthly fee. It bugs me, since it is all done electronically online. It is so bogus for them to charge you for it. That is my only gripe. That and the fact you have to provide them with your banking information.
